Carly Weaver received a BFA from James Madison University and currently works in her backyard studio in Austin. Her work is based in realism with a grounding in things that represent where she lives. She often chooses to work in a series and always on wood because she likes the building process of the wood panel and the additional character that wood brings to fill negative space.
