Erik Linton

Erik Linton has always had a strong connection with the outdoors. He grew up on the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah and spent a lot of time exploring the landscapes around him, from the lakes and forests of the Uinta Mountains to the deserts of Canyon Lands. Erik describes his work as a new format for common components of nature. It’s an opportunity to look at something we might frequently walk past without noticing, and he presents objects in nature in an unusual way in order to enhance the viewer's perception of that object. He loves to be hands-on in his creative process, feeling the texture of wood and smelling the leaves.
