Jessica Matier

Jessica Matier was born in South Korea in 1985. At three months old, she was adopted and raised in New Jersey and later attended Parsons School of Design. In 2016, she departed from watercolor and collage practices to pursue a mixed-media approach to abstract painting. A combination of psychology, various religions, and her spiritual practices inform her work. The act of creation is a gateway into her understanding of space, time, and consciousness.
